Understanding How The Brain Develops

It is useful to think of the brain like a house.  It has four parts and is built sequentially.  It is crucial that we allow children the time to develop each part of their brain.  Without strong foundations learning will not happen effectively or efficiently, causing issues later on.

It is worth listening to this podcast if you have not done so already.

There is no benefit to rushing a child.  Children are not at an advantage academically if they enter school with words, alphabet, number etc.  They are at an advantage if their social and emotional skills are well developed.
